Freewrite - No Title

This is a little darker then my usual writings, but it's a look at life from a side I can only imagine and some Bonnie and Clyde style fun...

A quick flash of light made the cold steel between them light up and go dark again. She shattered the tension and silence, "Gabe?"
"Don't worry Fiona, I'd never leave you behind." It was a simple reply, but all she needed. Fiona sat back and closed her eyes. When he spoke it reached her soul and calmed all her fears.

Gabe reached over and touched her hand softly, then reached for the gun between them. He wished things could have been different, he never wanted a life of crime. Now he couldn't stop. He was hooked on the lifestyle. It was so much better then before. And to think, dear old dad wanted him to become the next president of the family bank.

The plan was simple, Fiona walked inside, stood in line or acted like she was filling out a form. He waited a minute or so and then came inside also. Most people knew what to do as soon as they saw the gun. He only had to ask the teller to put the money in the bag. If they seemed unwilling, he grabbed Fiona and pointed the gun at her. Then people moved quickly. They didn't know the gun had no bullets. After that he backed out the door with Fiona. It was all over in less then 3 minutes.

They pulled up outside the bank and as Fiona stepped out, she felt the familiar rush of excitement. She had come to love this. And what wasn't to love? They went wherever they wanted, bought whatever they wanted, and when funds were low, they robbed a bank.

Why wasn't every one's life so simple and easy?

  1. Nice little blurb. Are you going to develop it into a story? I'd read more if you did!
