My Simple Thoughs

She sighed and shook her head. So often she found herself doing that these days. The cold was creeping into her bones as the day broke slowly with a confidence that she herself did not feel. A familiar song came into her mind as she busied herself with the work for the day, she hummed a few lines and sang out in a mournful way, "if only, if only."

Yet a new lullaby was entering her mind, one just for her and the few moments of heaven that she was allowed to keep locked away in her heart. A thought never before entertained slipped to her mind next. Could she really be the one that the world ended with for someone else? Such a strange and still beautiful idea. That her world could begin and end with someone had seemed such a dream-like thought never before entertained, but here she was with a smile playing on her face and a glow creeping into her cheeks. Perhaps she was in fact, just that for him. A beautiful rising sun to warm not just the day but another persons heart in return for the warmth she received.


A little story I just came up with while listening to end of The World Ends with You, the Lullaby For You by Jyongri. It's beautiful in Japanese, but the translation takes my breath away and so I started to write. :)
